<John Lewis> Got it! This one is cool...
<Tom 7> 'Skills Training: sphere pushing (200)' uploaded by Tom 7:
Usually super-tight timer levels are a bit too cruel, but this level directly exercises a specific skill that requires non-trivial reasoning in order to optimize. I believe that 200 moves is the minimum possible, unless my reasoning is flawed.
By the way, this shows off the new timer prefab. |

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Brandon: your levels would probably be liked better if you were more careful about making sure that the solution you intend is the only one. Lots of your levels have been cooked (check the ratings)...
<Tom 7> Mike: what's the length of your solution? It looks like Doom did it in 23 moves.
The record that's shown at the bottom of the screen is just the one from the last update, so it doesn't reflect very new records.
<Mike> (SPOILER) Added solution "Speed":
speedrecord function doesn't work, but my solution is still faster than the current solution.?!
<Doom> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 23 moves (old: 69).
Didn't use upper half of the level

<mjn> (SPOILER) ...whoops, which is exactly what you said. Sorry, guess I can't read today.
<mjn> (SPOILER) Actually, my intention for the fourth one was to get two blues and two reds. I spent so much time concentrating on the left half that I didn't even notice the reusing-thing... |

<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Is calling this level brilliant just a clever way of getting me to fess up? I'm pretty sure this solution was mjn's intenion when he made Save the Whales, except that you could cook it by moving only 3 sphere across, and using one twice. This level was just a way to fix the cook while terrifying the unsuspecting into thinking that 5 spheres could be brought over. Fun!
Also amusing was that Jason thought it was Tom's, Tom thought it was Jason's, and Tom was so miffed that now no one can upload anonymous levels anymore. Surprise! |
