I actually didn't have that hard of a time with this one; admittedly I needed a pencil and paper to layout how the level worked, but once I did that most of the stress on my brain was checking myself for errors. That said the mechanism is still a very clever and non-trivial way of hiding information that could definetly be used to create a level about as hard to crack as a combination lock. |

Yeah, wowei, I agree this really doesn't make for a fun level to solve. As it is it's not logical enough, and is more trial and error than anything. I'm sure with a little work the concept could be improved on.

At first I ignored this level completely, because I assumed it'd be nothing else than brute force guessing. Then I read your comments here, Josh, and I gave it a try. Though there IS symmetry and logic in sequence and order of the "key", what is given by the number of colours in first place, it still doesn't appeal to me much ... ... Perhaps I not only don't like guesswork, perhaps I don't like counting too. ;) |

The potential is definitely there to make a horribly difficult puzzle out of this. The problem is that the player would most likely need to use brute force to find a solution, and I don't particularly care for overly "guess and check" type levels.

Not nearly as hard as it is intimidating.

Wow, you really could make this about as hard as a combination lock to solve. Do you solve combination locks for fun? ;)
