<Joshua Bone> (SPOILER) Cook: I used the block from the airplane's wingtip to solve this rather than using the red block. It's quite easier that way.

Grand Prix (v2) Thu 17 Mar 2005 20:11
<mjn> Whoops, discovered a cook--here's a slightly better version.

<Tom 7> Seemingly impossible! I love it!

Grand Prix Thu 17 Mar 2005 19:04
<Tom 7> Damn, I am stuck on the last leg!

Easy Thu 17 Mar 2005 13:46
<Tom 7> I mean, "a way to make this kind of level better."

<jcreed> I like this a lot! Still can't solve it though.

Linear Regression Thu 17 Mar 2005 10:30
<AtakeeR> Really good level with many suprises.

<Tom 7> Cool idea (nice "story").. unfortunately my red car can hardly get out of the gate!

<Tom 7> There's a lot of pointless stuff in this level. A way to make this kind of level is to beat it in the most obscure and roundabout way possible--and then change the level so that's the only way that works.

Run! Killer Hugbot Thu 17 Mar 2005 09:56
<Tom 7> Despite apparently being "just another laser gauntlet," this level has some cleverness to it, and is pretty tight. Good job.

I Told You Not To Touch That, Hugbot Thu 17 Mar 2005 09:50
<Tom 7> Yeah, that's easier. ;)

<bpotetz> (SPOILER) My solution also was 69 moves.
I think this level is more rigid than I originally thought.

I Told You Not To Touch That, Hugbot Wed 16 Mar 2005 19:11
<jcreed> Maybe this one's easier?

Don't Touch That, Hugbot Wed 16 Mar 2005 17:02
<Tom 7> Man, this is a lot harder than it looks.

But I'm Afraid of the Dark, Hugbot Wed 16 Mar 2005 09:44
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Yeah, you can push the middle one left as you pass up on their right. And you can get out (actually, I was pretty sure I was supposed to do this because of the redundance of paths at the top).

There is a good reason (bug) why c doesn't work, but I thought I fixed that in the last version. It works in mine, anyway, which is upgradable now.
<jcreed> (SPOILER) Huh. Can you even move any of those wires? I didn't think of them as an intended red herring specifically. The electricity and up-down blocks I did.

In unrelated news, is there a good reason why the "c" key doesn't work in the level selection dialog to zoom to some level whose name starts with "c"?
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) OK, I got it (in exactly 69 moves, no less). I think I was messed up because I thought I needed to move the wire blocks in order to activate some of those panels in the middle (did you intend for that to be a red herring?), but it turns out to be all bots, all the way.
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) I don't doubt there's a short solution, and I even know what I need to do, but I'm getting stuck in the middle part making the right sequence of moves to make everything simultaneously activate.
<jcreed> (SPOILER) Really? I meant this one to be somewhat easy. My solution only has 69 moves.

<jcreed> Haven't finished it yet, but very nice so far.

<Tom 7> Nice one. Definitely one of those love-hate hugbot scenarios. ;)

Crown Jewels Tue 15 Mar 2005 15:32
<Tom 7> Nice, very tight and a good "story." ;)
<jcreed> Wow, that was a good one. I went through two entirely separate phases of "omg this is totally impossible --- oh wait, I can do this"
<jcreed> holy what the
