<Dave> Hi Jim. Tom is already well aware of the 'bookmark bug' in latest version. I think it only applies to the Windows install anyway, the compilations for other platforms are still based on the old version without the bug.

I can't remember all the differences but there aren't many. Here's the few I can recall: 1. Bookmark bug!; 2. Teleport animation; 3. Anti-radiant sanity testing.

Unless someone can get the source to compile debugging it is irrelevant anyway. I've tried in numerous verions of VC++ (including 6.0 which it was originally written in, I beleive) with various versions of the SDK libs and got nowhere. Then again, I've only ever been a semi-professional programmer at best (except ASM, and that's been a while) so if Tom can't do it I'm probably pi**ing in the wind.

noname and wowei are pretty on to it and might be able to help... I'm stumped.
<Jim> (SPOILER) You should probably let Tom know about that, I'm sure he is probably unaware and could probably fix that pretty easily. I knew there must have been a reason I never upgraded Escape!
<mark> Nice one Jim just tried the older version and I can have as many bookmarks as I want.
In the newer version if you make a bookmark at a certain point then go a bit further and want to make a new bookmark it just ignores you.
You have to delete the old one to get a new one.
So it always keeps your mistakes and if you have found something really hard later on I'm to reluctant to delete it in case i cant remember what I did.
I guess I'm going to play the harder levels in the old version from now on.
Thanks...
<Jim> (SPOILER) Thanks for the answer Dave, I thought I had looked under the deleted file but obviously I did not.

Mark, congrats to getting down to 200 levels, I'm sure you will get almost all of them in the future. I'm a bit surprised about your question of saving more than one bookmark per level, I can save as many as I want and for the hard levels its common for me to have it bookmarked at 7 different points. What happens to you when you try to save a second bookmark for a particular level? If it doesn't work for you, the only thing I can think of is that we have different versions, I still use the 200704130 version, I've never updated it.
<mark> Correction 2233/2433
<mark> (SPOILER) Hi Dave glad to see you back , hope things are going well for you.
Thanks for answering Jim's question that was correct.

Jim nice to see you that finally got the mars done and of course you would go a different way. I had solved it simalar to that after posting level but I still did the bottom right button trick.

As for Bob 18 I've got a bookmark at 1250 moves but its got far to many early mistakes in it and my motivation for the level has dropped a bit.
Will probably have a fresh look at it next week .
Is there a way to have more than one bookmark per level?

Had a busy patch of making levels and mods and I'm out of ideas for the momment, but you need not worry Jim as I've had a level waiting for you for a while Jumble IV.
When I put the hugbot in pressing yellow was meant to(I thought at the time)make it impossible.
So I've just deactivated yellow switch so now you can't press it.

Ps my triage reads 2233/2243 only 200 to go.
Lots of large screen levels and quite a few from Carlin js still to solve before I'm totally stuck.
<Dave> Cheers Jim. Just having a dabble to shake the rust off. There's a lot of levels to catch up on, it'll take a while. Bob18 can stay on the back burner for now...

'Enigma' is presumably noname's mod 'Planetary Enigma' from the second wave of 7B7B mods (which I seem to recall you started .) It's in deleted levels.
<Jim> (SPOILER) Dave, good to see you are back with your speed runs, I'm sure you have a lot of catching up to do.

Mark, you mentioned Wowie's speed run of enigma as a clue to how to solve your Mar's security level. I can't even find a level called that but as you see, I did it a different way anyway. Have you tried Bob 18 yet? That's quite an involved level.

Planetary Mystery Mars Security Thu 14 Aug 2014 21:42
<Jim> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 1021 moves (old: 1405).
I finally got around to solving this one, a different way of course.

Bob 18 II Wed 13 Aug 2014 22:20
<Jim> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 2311 moves (old: 3789).
I managed to cook this level again somewhat, but the cook is almost as hard as the intended solution. Great challenge.

Loved your solution Mark.

<mark> (SPOILER) Jim here is a clue for a rainy day.
If you use a hugbot you can open up the middle wires and attack the blue planet a totally diferent way.(leaves lot of spares)
To avoid the lazer skip at the end wowie's speedrun to enigma has a clue.
Hope you don't mind the gentle push but it is still hard .
My solution is a lot longer and more awkward than it needs to be.

Planetary Mystery Mars Security Mon 04 Aug 2014 21:02
<Jim> (SPOILER) I got all your other levels Mark, but I can see this will take some time, will save it for a rainy day.

Bob 18 Tue 29 Jul 2014 20:14
<Jim> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 1874 moves (old: 3770).
This is how I saved a few steps.
<Jim> (SPOILER) Amazing level, I'm nearly speechless at the intended solution. I managed to avoid a lot of it, I will post a speedrun at some point.

<Jim> (SPOILER) Yes it was, very similar.

<Jim> (SPOILER) Hi Mark, yes I did press yellow in both your previous mod and this one now. I'm sure you must know by now that I love any mod, this is a good series by you as every mod has made me come up with a new solution.
