Block Shortage Fri 08 Sep 2006 14:04
<KWM> (SPOILER) Ok, I don't want to give it all away at once so I'll be a little cryptic. After you connect the wires for the red switch there's only one spot where you'll be able to stand to push the button. So first, you'll have to fill that in with something. Where should you stand to push it into place? You can't do it alone. Is there someone who could help you put things in the right spot at the right time?

P.S. please use the spoiler check box when discussing solutions

<mm> This is an excellent example of bot manipulation, great level, seems to be very "maxy" (:

<mom> Thanks for the comment to "The other Mom" but I had that part, still can't get my brain around the red switch. Really want to get this one to see the amazing solution by Doom and the cooks. BTW I noticed there are actually 3 Moms having problems here. It must really be a "MoM" thing. Maybe my 4 year old can get it. Thanks in advance.

<KWM> (SPOILER) 1 million cool point will be awarded to the first person to embed a rubik's cube. :)
<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 520 moves (old: 574).
Brilliant! Nice job, KWM!

<KWM> (SPOILER) Without going into too much detail: If you use the D and Y keys you'll see that the green slider will make the exit appear. To get the slider in place you'll have to manipulate the stop signs. So you'll need safe passage to the buttons that control those stop signs.
<Mom1> O.K. maybe it's a mom thing but I have also had a complete brain freeze with this level. I agree with the other mom, ANY SMALL hint would be more than a little appreciated at this point. PLEASE!!!

<SPAM> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 582 moves (old: 656).
Very good!
I love this game, and this was a nice level, though it was indeed a bit confusing (I don't have a different idea to embed it, either). Well done!
(I guess this speedrun is not optimal, but I don't know)

<Doom> (SPOILER) There's that bot-cook, but also, I never had to visit the top left area in the 'real' solution either. Or hit the button at the beginning. Or push any of the boxes in the top-right area.
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Cook: Dalek Laser Shield
<Eric119> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 53 moves (old: 144).
Still cooked.

<GT Koopa> Thank you. I didn't know how your deletion system really worked. I got rid of the earlier version.
<Tom 7> Koopa: you can (and should) delete obsolete levels that you've uploaded yourself. Just press 'del' on the level when looking at the triage collection. (It should show a key icon if you have the permission to do this.) Also, deleted levels go to the graveyard; only levels that exhibit bugs and so might not be solvable go to Quarantine.

<RC> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 173 moves (old: 181).
OK

<GT Koopa> (SPOILER) I see. I would love to make a Version 3 of this level, but I don't know if I will get all the glitches that made it cooked or not. Is the only problem that you can lure the Dalek to the "fake" exit? If any of you want, you can do a mod of my level that fixes the problems. Of course I'm not expecting you to. I'll probally (hopefully) fix it myself.

<KWM> (SPOILER) I think that a properly placed force field might prevent the cook.
<Alois> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 42 moves (old: 44).
And this is the 1000th solved (342 to go...) :)
<GT Koopa> (SPOILER) Cooked? I thought I fine tuned it this time. Oh well, back to the ol' drawing board.
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Cook: Mobile Laser Shield
<Eric119> (SPOILER) Added solution "Cook #1":
Here is the how the previous cook works.
