moving the rockies Thu 01 Feb 2007 20:13
<mm> Wow, this was a lot of moving the rockies! And a lot of planning. I wonder if anyone will beat the original solution! :-) Nice level, but I think it could be a little smaller (without ruining it's concept of course).

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) (However I will be in Germany all next week so I won't be able to get to it immediately.)
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) JL: I can probably help you recover your player file if you like. Actually, I'd like to see what went wrong with it even if you do feel like replaying all the old levels. Can you mail it to tom7 at cs.cmu.edu?
<John Lewis> Looks like Eric's already beat me to it. :)
<John Lewis> (SPOILER) (note: speedrun of 155 moves didn't break record; not added)
Back from a long hiatus - here's a new speedrun for everyone (which will most likely be broken). I'm having to replay all the levels again, because my old player file gave me an error message when I attempted to import it. :(
<Henri> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 137 moves (old: 162).
For the record, it's still possible to skip the teleporter (but it's slower)

<Niall> (SPOILER) Before anyone says this, yes the point of this level is to be cooked. The teleport is just a diversion and entering it will ultimately get you killed.

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 155 moves (old: 229).
Easy, but a bunch of nice variations on the classic 3-block maneuver. Well done.

<Tom 7> Jorty: If you'd like to delete the previous (cooked) version of this, you can do so by pressing 'del' when it's selected on the 'load a level' screen. Usually we delete the old version when we upload a bugfix. (But, it's up to you.)

<mm> (SPOILER) Ha, I finally solved "gate b" - thanks for all your help! I really thought "gate b" was impossible - I guess because I totally missunderstood one important "mechanism". That was stupid! Sorry. It's a great gate, I like this one more than the others because it had not been obvious (for me) of course, but also because I think it's very tight for it's complexity.

<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 159 moves (old: 181).
I skipped some stuff. Still, sort of fun for an easier level.
