Make The Transpondance Fri 10 Sep 2010 19:13
<N7DOT 2> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 33 moves (old: 34).
An extra step shaved.
<N7DOT 2> Or Maybe the last solution isn't all that different.
<N7DOT 2> (SPOILER) Added solution "34th Street Bank Transaction":
A different Approach again, Now Three steps slimmer instead of one.
<N7DOT 2> (SPOILER) Added solution "A Step Faster":
Only A Step Faster, but it's enough to deserve upload, plus it's totally different than radiant's speedrun.

Assembly Line (less parts needed) Original by Radiant Tue 07 Sep 2010 19:00
<radiant> (SPOILER) Well now, this won't do.

The first solution I found to this resembles the original level more than it does the included solution (needless to say, it's a lot longer). But between all three of those, it's now possible to get a solid foundation for the geometry of boosting.

In fact, I have to wonder if this particular exercise can't be pared down further. 6 boosts can be achieved with 7 bots (demonstrating as much is left as an exercise for the reader), so why would it take 4 more just to get the last two boosts?

And then it still remains for me to find the true upper bound on boosting goodness. The Assembly (tm) series has come to mean "Take your 14 bots and build the ultimate contraption!" but every boosting threshold appears to come on an odd number. The original solution I had in mind for v4/4.1 uses one of the bots in an extremely subtle way, which these recent developments neatly avoid (and are therefore worthy of the "cook" label), so I don't just want to add a new task for #14 that sticks out like a sore thumb. If I find something I like enough, you'll know with the announcement of a v5 upload.

Why Does a Game of Free-For-All Dodgeball Always Have to Brea... Sun 05 Sep 2010 20:11
<Adam> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 15 moves (old: 16).
Optimal.

How To Settle a Dodge Ball War in 131 Easy Steps! Sun 05 Sep 2010 16:12
<N7DOT 2> NVM. It doesn't matter. The point of this mod is you can't destroy anything. The dodge ball fanatics get bored if you take too long, however.

EFGHOPEFGHOP protection Sun 05 Sep 2010 16:08
<N7DOT 2> Very clever little level. I was stuck until I tried and failed in a certian way, giving me a clue to how to solve it.

How To Settle a Dodge Ball War in 131 Easy Steps! Sun 05 Sep 2010 15:45
<radiant> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 93 moves (old: 131).
Step count levels are generally frowned upon unless you have a very good reason. Forcing the shortest solution is one possible reason (but only if the level allows you to apply more foresight than this huge mess of bots). This just isn't, and if you remake this same level with the count lowered to 93 I will fully support its deportation to another folder.

These Dodgeball games just won't stop! Sat 04 Sep 2010 22:58
<N7DOT 2> Could you make a no-electric version, maybe even with a step timer? The timer is optional.
<radiant> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 93 moves (old: 190).
no bots were harmed in the making of this solution tape

sundays walk with many twists Sat 04 Sep 2010 17:19

Pass 'em around Tue 31 Aug 2010 20:36
<N7DOT 2> Wow. I Just Uploaded This Level And like in less than a minute later you solve it faster. I was watching the page for activity.
<radiant> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 21 moves (old: 122).
oh wait this is cooked
<N7DOT 2> (SPOILER) Oops, meant first instead of fist.
<N7DOT 2> (SPOILER) Added solution "4 Gold Collisions":
Fist solution not using gold blocks to stop gold blocks?

Data Chip 5 (Secret technique) Mon 23 Aug 2010 18:02
<N7DOT 3> Oops, I can't upload more than 5 levels within 24 hours, and I'm not going to hassle uploading the rest today by uploading with another user. I dont want to hassle trying to put in over 600 moves all over again! Plus I shouldn't anyways.

Not Enough Space '4' 4. Sat 21 Aug 2010 00:19
<N7DOT 3> Upload your solution even if it isn't speedy or intresting. I want to know how you solve it, even if you aren't fast or have an odd/'intresting' run. Just don't spam solutions.
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Added solution "No R & B/Gy Flip":
Less Fancy. Go ahead and upload non-speedrun solutions as long as long as it is intresting or the ending block placement is different.

<Grant> (SPOILER) Cook: It is possible to solve this level without using the yellow block in the bottom right or the one in bizarro world in row 2 column 4. Push the first, second, fourth, and sixth grey blocks down, and you can use the remaining ones on the two leftmost panels.

Bridge Out! (a tiy bit harder) Thu 19 Aug 2010 12:37
<Grant> (SPOILER) (note: speedrun of 96 moves didn't break record; not added)
There may be a faster way, but I don't feel like optimizing right now.

I Pity the Fool Thu 19 Aug 2010 02:11
<radiant> April Fools' Day, of course. Look at when the level was uploaded.
<Grant> (SPOILER) Nice red herring there! :)

But what does AFD mean?
