<mark> (SPOILER) 1700 not coming anytime soon,down to 1 or 2 levels a week. It gets harder and harder to find a level i can beat easily. Dont think i will ever get close to finishing triage. 1600 was not a level i really thought out as noname's speedrun proves. I just threw it together in about 10 mins.i like the speedrun even though the level is not "done" when its done if you know what i mean. |

<Dave> Ni Mark, I was planning to delete it anyway. Just though I'd leave it a up a few days for fun. By searchable comments, I meant 'text' searchable rather than searchable by level. I sometimes recall non level specific things which have been discussed in comments and without remembering which level the discussion was in there is no easy way of finding them again. I usually find it quicker to pull up level comments by getting the level number from the game, pulling up comments for any random level and overwriting the level number in the URL "...bar.org/f/a/escape/level/3537?spoilers=1" |

<mark> (SPOILER) I think i panicked when i saw mods 21 and 22 so i put off playing them . As i'd been busy on other levels and had forgot most of the torture i went through. just played themm done 21 the hard way then realised hold on a minute what am i doing. Any how gave 22 a style of TEN that was for the solution it was wicked. I would have never of thought of that in a million years. I dont like to tell you what to do as i dont want to sound insulting But i would delete that level. Just imagine if some of the old masters come back oneday you could put that into a level of your own and catch them out. Just a thought have fun. <mark> (SPOILER) Hi Dave ,glad you took your time to look at dungeon or you would have not understood how much of a rip off it was,also how can it be so rubbish when its the same game. I only slightly remember it but your right there was a problem with the controls and i think you only got a few undo's I have just been reading your comments again and the bit you mention about searchable comments. Well i have always searched comments let me tell you how. In google i type (escape level spacebar) followed by name of the level. sometimes you need the author as well but not often. Ps are you trying any of the other puzzle games. <Dave> Wow! Dungeon is a total rip-off and not a good one. I guess there is no way to copyright a game concept. Electricity is water, hugbots are knights, daleks are evil knights, sliders are carts, and lasers are dart-shooters. When two evil knights crash they turn in to some kind of pile of dead bodies and armour. Everything else is the same including most of the graphics ideas. I note that Tom is only creditted as a level author and even that is hidden away in a readme. It was clearly made after the introduction of bots but before bombs. Instead it has pink spheres based on the ones used in CC. I will be generous and assume the idea was to take Escape and try to merge in CC elements but it never got that far. Graphics quality is terrible as are the controls, so I would advise anybody else thinking of having a look not to waste your time. <mark> (SPOILER) Robotic secret service....Not so secret anymore ha ha |

<mark> (SPOILER) Pps all the games and answers i had i lost when my computer crashed. I only really wanted escape by that time anyway. Never played chips challenge as it for some reason would not download onto my earliar computers and never tried again. <mark> (SPOILER) Hi all. I brought my first computer about 1999 just to play games on. I love logic and puzzle games and have played qute a few before i found escape. Cassetto Roll a bll to win Zeps dreamland They are probably some of the better ones . but they only had limited levels .Ive also played a direct copy of this game called Dungeon It has exactly the same named levels in it but the electric is water and the hugbots are some kind of wizards i vaguely remember,but i did not play it much did not like it. Now for a secret that might blow you away. I remember exactly how and why i got escape as it is on a great website with hundreds of free games all catgorised into differet genres. The website is( caimen free games )if you search that in google you will find it. Escape comes up in puzzle section page 8 and the picure used is rouge like. and they give it a nice but short review. I wish i found this game earlier but better late than never. Hope this information does not mean i lose you all for ages. Some of the games ive played would also be compatable with escape but as Tom says no plagirism. Ps A remote level was the first noname level i ticked off the hearts were not the problem for me it was not understandig the bizzaro world ending that got me. Ive only one of nonames to go now after getting secret passage this week. Just guess was a nightmare as i went through all the posistions logicly to get the answer. (did not know the level editor then) Anyhow enough from me for now have fun and let me know how you get on with mentioned website. |
