<bpotetz> I only *wish* this type of level was my style. But I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of these.
Wow! Thanks for the cool new user ID, Tom!
<John Lewis> Definitely computer-generated. Pieguy, who is also a Chip's Challenge player, released a set of computer-generated block-pushing CC levels a while ago. Most (in my opinion) were really easy compared to this. :-) He's also made a bunch of insanely hard levels for that game, so I wouldn't be surprised if several Potetz-style levels start popping up here. ;-) |

<bpotetz> Best gold block puzzle, ever.
Have to know, though - made by man or machine?
Not sure which is more impressive.
<John Lewis> David, is this computer-generated? :-) |

<Tom 7> Yoav: All levels in triage are solvable. I'm really close on this one, but it's quite tricky (and good!)... |

<John Lewis> By the way, please delete the old level. :-)
<John Lewis> I realized why the panels were bad in the first version - I forgot to connect them when I moved the exit one space over! |

<John Lewis> This level will probably be easy for hugbot experts. :-) Originally, I had the exit one space farther down, but I couldn't manage to make it. If anyone here can reach the exit with the hugbot nine spaces behind, please let me know...I want to make this harder. :-) Enjoy! |

I suggest you first play "Great Escape" and then try "Great Escape 2", because the solution for this level will also be a solution for "Great Escape", but not the other way!

Animation Bug |
Sun 15 May 2005 09:48 |
 |
<Tom 7> That is a little confusing, I guess. It's good to have test cases like this around, but there are some more serious problems with animation for me to fix first! (It's easy to fix this kind of thing, but I want to strike a balance between animation that correctly shows the sequence of events, and animation that happens quickly enough that you can play the game without too much waiting!)
Anyway, thanks..
<Stephan> On Windows, the red sphere begins moving before the blue ball has stopped moving, making it appear that the blue sphere has stopped short of it's final possible destination.
This seems like an unintended consequence of having the next bot in turn move before the rest of the level's animation has completed.
(Please quarantine/remove this level) |
