<Max> (SPOILER) Yeah, it's definitely impossible to get back to the bottom because, even if you could block the lasers, there's no way to get past those teleporters.
This one is indeed easy, but it's fun to beat in as "realistic" a way as possible. It's also fun to find other ways of solving it... |

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Wow, my solution is really asymmetric compared to yours! I can see why you called it patchwork, now... |

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Sorry, I thought you could get the dalek on your side, but I was wrong (as far as I know). You can easily kill him, though, but even if you were to somehow cover all the panels, I don't think you can get back to the bottom.
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) This one is fun. Actually, it's really easy because you can make the dalek first throw all of his balls out side-court. ;) And then when you win, he'll electro-seppuku in shame! Cute.
<Max> (SPOILER) Ugh... Well, I guess I don't mind that too much. In fact it would be much harder to solve on the same side as the dalek. If it's possible to solve in a subversive manner like this, however, it probably is a cook and I should do a different version. Otherwise, I'd like to think of this level as "loose" rather than "cookable". ;)
And it's kind of analogous to what might happen in real life if someone broke the dodgeball rules and ran onto the other guy's side to mess around: a fight would break out and the game would be over with no winner! I mean hopefully nobody would die of electrocution, but I guess you never know in the era of Extreme Dodgeball.
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Cool mechanism (the local laser thing is more economical than mine; I should have thought of that). It is fun to try to break it in several ways. You can get into the dalek's playing field (those two red balls in the middle provide a nice shield to enter one of the teleports that appear), and you can get the dalek to come into your side. I don't think either of these help you win, although I haven't solved it yet. |

Yep, this seems better. Nice level as usual! |

<Joshua Bone> (SPOILER) This one is (hopefully) fixed. The top central puzzle is still very easy, but at least it's something. Lower right should be working properly. |

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) I realized that I can check this myself, so I did. ;) I did apparently cook the beginning part and the top middle part. But the rest of my solution is essentially identical to yours, so I think that makes for a pretty tight level.
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 571 moves (old: 577).
Woo, nice to beat the original. ;)
I feel like I might have cooked the early part of this level, because solving the sliding steel puzzle wasn't very hard once I realized that I could move the LR slider and then free blocks from the right wall by using the teleport room. (Also, is there any point to that green/red puzzle at the top middle? I just pushed the steel from right to left my first time through, and it offered no difficulty.) But this was still a good level with lots of just-barely-possible manipulation, and lots of tricks. I was sure surprised at what the bottom right green panel did. |

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Max: That's basically the solution I used, too. I tried a little to make it trickier, but I wasn't able to. (Also, for 'story', think of a dodgeball/"shark" hybrid or something like that.)
jason: I don't understand your question. If you solve it in fewer moves, it should save that solution in your player file instead. But you can't upload a speedrun unless it is better than the one on the server. |

<Max> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 38 moves (old: 41).
Damn! I have an unfinished level called "Dodgeball" with the same exact theme (also inspired by your comment on Jason's level). As with yours, mine is quite problematic in terms of reproducing a "realistic" dodgeball "story", while maintaining a level of challenge. The problem with this one is that you can just walk up and down in the 3rd and 4th rows from the bottom and then let hugbots walk above you to shield you from the lasers. I really like the concept though... Maybe revise it a little if you feel like it? Meanwhile, I'll work some more on mine. ;) |

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) I don't think you can beat this one with the buggy version of escape that's currently released. It'll be fixed soon.
<Joshua Bone> (SPOILER) 3 moves & I am frying like an egg. I don't see any other possible series of moves. I'm gonna have to call this one impossible.
<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Hard not to win?!? This is the hardest level I've ever played!! I've brute-force searched all possible solutions, and the longest one I've found is only three moves, and it ends in death. What's up with that? |
