<Max> (SPOILER) Nice one, Stephan. Mind if I make a mod making your solution necessary? You can make one if you'd like.

Bigger Waste of Time Sun 12 Jun 2005 20:55
<Max> Doom, I'm impressed!

Jumps Sun 12 Jun 2005 20:45
<Stephan> (SPOILER) Added solution "Simpler Solution":
(Unlike the original solution, this one doesn't require crossing the pit so many times, and doesn't use the electric field.)

<Tom 7> Yeah, this is a good test case in that it is the family of smallest possible solvable levels, and also the family of tightest and most assuredly uncookable levels, and therefore also the easiest.
Maybe this would be a good level to use in order to detect (and discount) voters who don't know what they're doing -- anyone who doesn't vote this a 0 for difficulty and 10 for rigidity doesn't understand what these ratings mean. ;)

<Tom 7> (SPOILER) This one seems simpler, so I don't mind. ;)

Bigger Waste of Time Sun 12 Jun 2005 17:24
<Doom> (SPOILER) I hope my solution was intentional because it's a damn cool one!

Modern Art Sun 12 Jun 2005 17:05
<Max> I don't think that's a cook, Adam. I know there aren't really degrees of impossibility, but if there were, this would be the most impossiblest level to cook, ever.
<Adam> (SPOILER) Cook: b ,nj,

Bigger Waste of Time Sun 12 Jun 2005 16:50
<Max> God this one is hard!

Caught in the Castle of Cakes Sun 12 Jun 2005 16:49
<Max> (SPOILER) This was easy and fun, though the randomness of the hole maze and the green laser field part, as well as some of the surprise deaths, was unnecessary.

The Dalek Question II Sun 12 Jun 2005 16:35
<Max> (SPOILER) Wow, so it does. I never noticed that! No wonder that one was so confusing...

Jumps Sun 12 Jun 2005 12:10
<Max> (SPOILER) Heh, sorry Tom but I cooked it. The same solution works on both, though, if it's any consolation...

The Creamery Sun 12 Jun 2005 01:46
<Stephan> (SPOILER) Nice, easy, and golly I wasted a lot of time until I figured out the trick!

<Tom 7> Hey, I'm workin' on that one! ;)

Timing Column Sat 11 Jun 2005 20:48
<Max> Cool-- easy but fun and interesting.

<Max> (SPOILER) Based on a fun Escape illusion I discovered a while ago...

Too Many Lasers Sat 11 Jun 2005 13:10
<Doom> I think, I'll try to make less random levels in future. I consider this level a failed experiment... :P
<Doom> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 762 moves (old: 788).
Some small optimizing :)
<Doom> I guess the word that describes this mess the best is 'confusion'. I decided to make a level with sticky dalek theme but it turned to become something completely different... I know, it might be annoying because there are so many panels and it's not perfectly obvious to see what they do. At least I tried to make it a little more clear with the colored buttons that can't be pressed (except the blue one)

Five Alive Sat 11 Jun 2005 01:15
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Good job!

The 'red' part is easy indeed. Its main purpose is to tease you into believing there may be some trick when you become frustrated with the 'blue' part. (But it also serves as a nice cool-down..)

Escape Wars Episode III Revenge Of The Escapist (Special Edit... Sat 11 Jun 2005 00:33
<Max> A nice jaunt.

Funhouse Warped? (v2) Sat 11 Jun 2005 00:04
<Max> I still like the puzzle on the right much better...

Five Alive Fri 10 Jun 2005 21:00
<Max> (SPOILER) Added solution "Sloppy alternate solution":
My solution differs from the original on a few points, so I'm just uploading this for fun. Tom's was very nicely efficient and methodical -- sorry that mine is a little unfocused at times...
<Max> (SPOILER) Wow, this is fantastic! Very difficult indeed, but since it's so cleverly designed (teleport signs are key) it gives that coveted thrill of wanting to keep trying until you discover the secret as opposed to the mounting frustration that I usually associate with difficult levels involving computer assistance. The "red" puzzle is a complete breeze after the brutal "blue" puzzle, but it's a nice victory lap -- I must admit I felt a little rush of triumph after all that intense block-pushing! ;) Nice job!
<Max> (SPOILER) Ok, yeah, it is. ;)
