<mark> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 487 moves (old: 534).
I always wanted to know if this way was possible.

Magic Trick bot kiss 2nd exit again Sat 27 Apr 2024 20:13
<noname> (SPOILER) After seeing the original solution, I agree with Mark that the concept of the original version is more or less flawed. Without that realization, I ended up solving this with some 400+ moves of bot manipulation after taking the heart framer...

<mark> (SPOILER) Added solution "Untitled":
the 604 way tidied up a bit. liked your solves espcially the dull way.
Ive got a new version of this coming soon that gets rid of every known solution so far.
<noname> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 522 moves (old: 571).
And this is the clever way.
<noname> (SPOILER) Added solution "The Old Dull Way":
This is the old way to solve this level I mentioned.
<noname> (SPOILER) It turns out that I already tried the second exit when "Magic Trick bot kiss" came out, and obtained solutions much faster than what I did a few days ago. The solution done in the old dull way is slower than the solution done in the clever way, though.

I have video-captured the solutions and then input them by hand into this level, and I'm going to upload both solutions for you to see.
<mark> (SPOILER) Nice one for solveing Ive also been playing this for hours got another way and a speedrun of 604 so far.
Wont post it yet to see if you can clean up your solution into a speedrun.
Been in ver4 to see original solution and wow thats where all my solves was.I got one bookmark where Ive put a grey block on the imaginary button.
Obvious really because i always play the original loads before making mod.Its been that long Ive forgot so much.
Thanks for question replys.
<noname> (SPOILER) Without killing the hugbot near the beginning, of course.
<noname> (SPOILER) Took me eight or nine hours to solve, but that's because I solved it the old way, like in Magic Trick (v4)...

<noname> (SPOILER) By the way, I agree that this is way easier than the original.
<noname> For the speedrun desappears thing, I have reported this in the feedback thread back in 2016. As a workaround, if, after downloading speedruns, you immediately solve the level, e.g. by playing one of the speedruns downloaded, or playing your own solution, and press enter at the end, then the downloaded speedruns will no longer disappear.

According to the source repository, this bug has been fixed, but a new version incorporating the fix is yet to be released.

As for the enter thing, I definitely can enter a level by pressing enter, so I'm not sure what happened. I did notice that with my laptop, the arrow key in the numpad does not work with Escape: I have to use the main arrow key instead. So perhaps you tried to use the enter key in the numpad?
<mark> Ps since I got the new version of Escape I have unlimited bookmarks per level which is great, N7 do you have unlimted bookmarks now?
When I want to enter a level in the triage I have to click it.
Im sure before I only had to press enter if that was the level highlighted.
Also if I download a speedrun somtimes it disappears.
Are theese things the same for everyone?

<mark> (SPOILER) nice solve noname I got tunnel vision on this one trying to make somethig with the buttons already there.
with that amount of bombs anything was possible and I had forgotton bombs could do that at the end of your solution.

<N7> (SPOILER) Forgot to mention, even despite doing it "wrong" I still think this was a neat puzzle. Gonna try and see if I can figure out the 'intended' way without looking at the solution now.
<N7> (SPOILER) Looks like noname and I both solved this the same (seemingly unintended) way, using the gold blocks for the entire puzzle and leaving the red blocks behind.

a little something otherwise Tue 23 Apr 2024 01:31
<mark> (SPOILER) Added solution "Untitled":
my first solve N7 your solution was great. anyhow stick around I got couple more levels on the go.
<N7> (SPOILER) Hmm. I'm not sure how to prevent using the old strategy here, and with it possible this level is too similar to the previous one to stay in triage.

<N7> LOL I forgot to edit the author field. Shows how out of practice I am at using the editor...

a little something extra Mon 22 Apr 2024 17:29
<N7> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 446 moves (old: 590).
Very nice twist on the original map.

u. Bomb o'fun 6 again Mon 22 Apr 2024 03:55
<N7> (SPOILER) This is certainly a much harder version than the original, that's for sure! I solved it basically the same way and I didn't beat noname, so I'm posting this as a record I solved it instead. It's good to see you're still around, mark.

<noname> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 412 moves (old: 426).
The twelve steel part of this speedrun is now optimal, in addition to the wire block puzzle part and the main hero part.
<noname> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 426 moves (old: 433).
The wire block puzzle part and the main hero part of the speedrun was done by my solver and should be optimal. The twelve steel part follows Dave's previous speedrun (I just ctrl-0'ed that part).

<noname> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 397 moves (old: 399).
Optimal solution obtained by dividing the level into three parts and feeding each part to my sovler.

<noname> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 422 moves (old: 438).
Speedrun obtained by dividing the level into three parts and feeding each part to my solver. The main hero part and the part before the main hero should be optimal. The twelve steel part is optimal under the assumption that the steel room is to be done in one go.

m.waveman Sat 03 Feb 2024 21:36
<noname> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 577 moves (old: 579).
In addition to what I said for the previous speedrun, the main hero part of this speedrun was also generated by my solver and should be optimal.
