We are the mods 12a Mon 08 Apr 2013 04:39
<mark> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 517 moves (old: 523).
When i said 12a puts us back on track i had no idea about the level, you have only changed 3 items from mods 9 and this level is hard.
You are the king of the mods.
Ps this is just my first solve, took me 3 hours of good fun thanks.
<mark> Mods 11 and 12 deviated, 12a puts us back on track.

<Dave> @N7DOT. I did comment, right back at the beginning, that I didn't think this process could stay on one thread, and, personally, I don't think it should. Evolution will take its course, the original series is not dead.
<N7DOT 3> I think We are the mods 8 (this one) and 10 should stay in triage, 10 because it is the last one before the reset and 8 because is has the highest style-and-difficulty to density ratio of the original branch. The yellow block puzzle is the last one before it got changed nearly entirely. I really like this one.

<Dave> Probably a bit outside the 'rules', but things did seem to be getting a bit too rigid.
<twentyxiii> actually that was easy compared to 9 and 10....

<mark> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 296 moves (old: 348).
Nice work devin and (Dave)

<devin> (SPOILER) Cook: Ball is not intended
<Dave> (SPOILER) To be honest N7DOT, I used the same method as you on my first run. This only occurred to me after I had crossed the line.
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) wow, yours is similar to mine but even more different. from the original. definetly cooked!
<Dave> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 296 moves (old: 363).
As you're talking about cooking... Don't have time to play mods right now, so I'll leave a speedrun for thought.
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) No wonder my rating disagrees with the one given. Mine was 4, 4, 6 while the other one is 6, 5, 5. I probably should lower my rigidity rating now.
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Wait, I think I cooked it. The way I solved it was waayyy different when dealing with the added stuff.
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 363 moves (old: 377).
speed run :)
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) imho I prefer #8 over this one... if someone can skip the sphere and mod it out that would be nice though as it would elaborate on the puzzle so far to conserve as many peices as possible. that's why made my comment on 'We are the mods 8' about starting a new thread.

i do still thank you for starting this little series though.

<N7DOT 3> If nobody objects, I might start another mod-level train like 'we are the mods' but with a different starting point, and with the same rules. I'll wait a week and if no one objects by then I'll upload that starter.
<mark> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 202 moves (old: 206).
Yes it got me for a little while too. I thought it was super sneaky at first but i forgot i had more blocks.
<N7DOT 3> A while back I had tried coming up with an idea like the "we are the mods" series but when I tried i failed. I'm glad this time the one you started worked so well as now it's actually had a chance to happen. thank you mark for starting this.

(and thanks to Tom 7 for making this game!)
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) mark you got me!
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) (note: speedrun of 276 moves didn't break record; not added)
Actually I figured it out. Silly me... It's stil a clever trick in my opinion.
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) no way... I have no idea now how to solve this one. I knew somebody was going to find a use for the blues, but that means it's going to be a while before I solve it! (unless this level is super-sneaky...) Good one devin!

<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Didn't add speedrun: 136 (old: 171)

<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 150 moves (old: 176).
ok incorporate the top half into one trip
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 176 moves (old: 186).
that's better
<N7DOT 3> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 186 moves (old: 211).
well not any more. I knew my orignal solution wasn't optimal at all but when I saw yours was the same length I knew I could get the record.
