<mark> (SPOILER) As feared i did have to lose my levels folder but the only levels i need i can just take them back from escape directories.
What happened was i could see extra levels in the quarantine folder so i copied them into my levels only to find out i copied the graveyard by mistake.
For some reason though my latest mod was not named on a file so i had uploaded from within the game.
I,d spent over half an hour copying speedrun and bookmarking it till i got bored and had not solved it.(thats might be why it was not showing as a file) so i had to quickly solve and upload.
I had got a much better ending to add to it
from original level.(not as fast as speedrun)

Great information once again Dave ,got the old game and i've had a tinker on them.
Is the dalek question possible in this version or is there an earlier version out there some place?

Ps great speedrun on 3 i love the way instead of uploading my solution just make a mod and you show me how its done the right way.
seems you put all the hard work into that solve it can be done 4 quicker.
last 2 G down not up.I think you should claim it.

Off now to start reclaiming my levels back.
<Dave> Playing the 2005 version is interesting when you are used to the current one! Just trying to dig a bit deeper into quarantine.

<Dave> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 771 moves (old: 871).
I definitely didn't do it that way.

Avalanche 2 4Gf Wed 12 Jun 2013 21:44
<Jim> (SPOILER) I like doing them all over again from scratch, enough time has passed that they are almost like new levels. I get stuck in all the same spots as I did the first time around. Mark's ending was still trickier than the original, fun stuff.

<Dave> First time I've used the 'i' function in a while!

Avalanche 2 4Gf Wed 12 Jun 2013 20:03
<Dave> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 1528 moves (old: 1684).
The original endgame was a bit easy compared to what had preceded it. Loading the penultimate room that was always the tough bit.

<Dave> Hi Mark

Easiest way to play the Malformed levels (credit to radiant):

Go to "tinyurl.com\escape2007". Your are on Windows. An install of the old version will screw with your current one, so download the ZIP version, not the install file. Download, unzip, and run it from wherever you unzip it to. Create a new player, level update quarantine only, and away you go.

PS. Only briefly looked your 'new', Revenge. No idea as yet, I did it the intended way.
<mark> (SPOILER) Was not going to upload my latest mod just yet i wanted to clean up the solution first.
But i have a feeling i might lose my levels folder, been messing around trying to get missing levels to look at and ended up with all deleted levels in the folder.
I know how to sort it i think but i might lose some of my levels in the process.
My solution is as about as tight as it gets till the last room.(taken from Dave's speedrun).
I think this mod does add a bit of difficulty but who am i to judge.
Have fun back soon.

Ps 4Gf four grey first

Modular Thinking 13 Wed 12 Jun 2013 16:50
<Dave> (SPOILER) I did consider leaving it up but I deleted it because of the mistake I made which 14 and 15 exploit. In 16 it is fixed (at least I think it is) so this became obsolete.

<mm> (SPOILER) I'm desperately trying to solve the latest mod levels as well as the red balloon... No clues at all! :-( I think I will give up for the moment.

Modular Thinking 13 Wed 12 Jun 2013 16:28
<mm> Dave, it is a pity that you've deleted this level!

<Jim> (SPOILER) I didnt try it, but you would have to put a check mark to get the quarantined levels in order to get the Revenge of the malformed levels. It also may depend on what level of Escape you have whether you can actually still get those levels.

<Jim> (SPOILER) This is the way I did it originally, it figures I did it the harder way.

<mark> (SPOILER) Wow do i feel mighty right now , i've been after that level for months, thanks for your hints Dave but they only really made sense when it was done.
I had a brainwave yesterday and changed the blue blocks to red,i was then able to solve after about another 2 hours.
Yet again i did not do it the right way.

Revenge of the malformed levels,i saw all the comments about a month back and really wanted to take a look at them.
I dont have them or cant find them is there any way of getting them.
<Dave> PS. For anybody who doesn't know what I'm talking about: See comments on 2641,2,3,5,6,7 and 3128 for an explanation.
<Dave> So 19 Oct 2009 it is, and they are not recovered solutions. The first triage level I remember solving is Shark Tank and that also has the same date. QED

That coincides with my recollection of the Revenge of the Malformed Levels series being right at the top of the list the first time I updated. Obviously, I was utterly clueless at the time, and they got banned pretty quickly. Only went back and did them a couple of years later after being prompted in a comments chat with radiant. Definitely, a fun little exercise when you fancy a break from 'ordinary' levels.

Avalanche (mod2) Wed 12 Jun 2013 04:37
<Dave> Tutorial 1: 19 Oct 2009. Now I know how long I've been playing!
<Dave> 3 Nov 2010. You know, I never noticed that!
<Jim> (SPOILER) I have an incredible memory!

Oh, and of course if you look at the bookmark of a finished level, it gives you the time and date that you completed it.
<Dave> Jim, I have to know... How can you remember the date you did a level over 3 years ago?
<Jim> (SPOILER) THat was fun to do again, I originally did it in Jan of 2010.

<Dave> Ah, I thought that might be the case! I've only got computer.dat and pi.dat. Will keep trying. I'm intrigued by the other 11 rooms.
<mark> (SPOILER) Hi Dave acording to chips wiki its in Pi^2.dat.
Nice solution i was trying third last room like that and could not see that way was possible.
<Dave> (SPOILER) That's a blast from the past!

The new avalanche only required minor adjustments of old runs. With this series, things are tightish until you hit the bottom right room where you can pretty much shuffle the deck any way you please.

I'd leave it up for now and see what the others think.

Funnily enough I was looking for the original Avalanche 2 after your comments before. Anyone know which level in which level set? I've only got a couple of Pieguy sets. His website seems to be down or I'd just go and grab the lot.
