The Non-Way To Die Sun 25 Oct 2009 14:27
<N7DOT> If you zoom out you can. See the Escape text file in the Escape File folder to see how. I suggest to stay away from making "step on the correct dot" levels where the only thing we do is step on the panels and see what happens. Let's not see more of these.

An extension of an idea seen in John Lewis' "Double Take". Let's see how well it stacks up to that.

This is a dot maze like checkpoint, exept it doesn't show you what dot to take, and you can touch each dot once. If you do it twice you get stuck. :( So don't get lost.

Memoryless Hole (Near-Miss Variation 2) Thu 22 Oct 2009 15:40

in fact, scrap this outright

If this level signifies anything, it's that 365 was a tantalizingly well-designed "minimalistic" fix that leaves the player free to explore several imaginative lines of attack, only to thwart every last one of them--some more narrowly than others. Or so that's what at least Brian and I have found in four and a half years, and I bet some of you might also have given it a try over that time.

I actually have a few more slight tweaks that work as well, but this is the last one I'll spring on you unless--and until--someone finds a route that works unmodified.

*This is Not amazing.

A simple Joke Level for you to do what ever with. I'm sure this level has more room so you can modify it However YOU like! (devin,or anyone else, you can TOTALLY use this as a tempelate! :))

BE GOOD

D: 2
S: Depends.
R: 3
F(flexibility):5

These ratings are what i expect, because it really isn't that hard, but could be made very. Flexibility is how easy it is To make it alot better with a small amount of change. A 1-5 i think is good for Flexibility.

Bye.

<radiant> Pretty sure the editor already does that with its blank 18x10 level.
<devin> well can somebody give me a pre-level so i can edit it into something?
<John Lewis> Devin, I used to think the same thing as well, until I discovered that style is also about originality, fun, and cleverness as well.

Take pieguy's "revenge" levels, for instance - upon first glance, they don't look all that exciting, right? Yet they are some of the most cleverly constructed levels in this game. :)
<devin> im afraid that people get style messed up with how it looks
<devin> mhmm
<mm> Dear Devin

I really do like the way you're inquisitively working on new levels! But I need to let you know: normally, after uploading a new level, we'd wait for some FEEDBACK! Before uploading a new version of the level.

Hm. I don't know how to explain this to you... But my impression is: you're uploading NEW VERSIONS of your levels BEFORE getting any feedback.

I like your new levels! But I'd love you to let us give you some feedback before uploading new versions of your levels.

Got it?

I can't explain it any better, I'm sorry!

MM
