My First Experiment Fri 25 Feb 2005 01:34
<bunnyrape> (SPOILER) I used that block in my solution; best submit it as cooked! :P
Still quite confused about alternate solutions; i can't look at a level and "know" the answer.. yet.
Thanks for the positive feedback :)
<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Nice first level - keep them coming.
I can solve this without freeing the bottom left gold block from its chamber of solitude. Is that alright?

Treehouse (v3) Fri 25 Feb 2005 00:35
<Max> P.P.S. Oh yeah, Tom, you can delete the original and v2 whenever you feel like it.
<Max> Cool, I'm glad I was able to resurrect my original intention... And deep down, I just love pretty levels.

P.S. The red switch blocks are supposed to loosely resemble a rope ladder...

Riddle Of Steel Fri 25 Feb 2005 00:31
<Max> At least I made it out without anyone laughing at me! ;)

Memoryless Hole (v1.2) Fri 25 Feb 2005 00:28
<Max> Okay, you got me! ... for now.

Riddle Of Steel Fri 25 Feb 2005 00:12
<bpotetz> No argument here. For anyone who plans on solving it & hasn't yet (and I realize that is probably not many people), I don't think Crom will be too angry if you map out the panel destinations in the level editor before playing...

Treehouse (v3) Fri 25 Feb 2005 00:08
<bpotetz> That'll do it. Nice level, Max - really tight.

Memoryless Hole (v1.2) Fri 25 Feb 2005 00:07
<bpotetz> I almost didn't upload this, partly since there's been so many, and partly because this is the least interesting of the 3 and I don't want to give too many clues for the other 2. But then I sent it up anyway.

I'm guessing the bug in the last version was due to a superficial difference between mine & Max's solutions for #2 that I didn't catch last night. If this is still a problem with this one, then this level is history.

Tom - you're free to delete 1.1

Memoryless Hole (v1.1) Thu 24 Feb 2005 19:55
<Max> Okay, yeah, that worked. So yes, Brian, I used the same solution on Memoryless Hole 2...
<Tom 7> It'll come back if you just go to the main menu and then back to the load screen.

Riddle Of Steel Thu 24 Feb 2005 15:11
<Max> This is a really annoying level!

Memoryless Hole (v1.1) Thu 24 Feb 2005 15:08
<Max> Sorry Brian, but I recovered this solution as well. I can't tell if it's from any of your "memoryless holes" or perhaps an original cook of mine of one of the old versions of Memory Hole; there seems to be a bug that makes it so recovered solutions are not displayed in the level select menu...

Riddle Of Steel Thu 24 Feb 2005 10:02
<Tom 7> Oh man, I was worrying about this kind of level when I made those colored steel tiles...

'Round & 'round Thu 24 Feb 2005 09:52
<Tom 7> Being too easy is not a cook. ;) 17 people before you rated this level an average of difficulty of 2.5 out of 10!
<Jasonbot> (SPOILER) Cook: Too easy?

Riddle Of Steel Thu 24 Feb 2005 02:39
<bpotetz> Actually, its sort of a nuisance of a level. But I really wanted to submit a level called "Riddle of Steel".
<bpotetz> When I die, I must go before Crom, and he will ask me, "What is the riddle of steel?"

And if I do not know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me.

Memoryless Hole (v1.1) Thu 24 Feb 2005 02:36
<bpotetz> Definitely not as hard as the second two, but different at least.
Tom, you can delete the first MH.

Treehouse (v2) Thu 24 Feb 2005 02:29
<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Oh no! I didn't do it on purpose, this time, I swear. If it makes you feel any better, I had myself convinced you couldn't solve it that way, so your new version must be really tough. Maybe tomorrow I'll give it a try.

Memoryless Hole Thu 24 Feb 2005 02:24
<bpotetz> (SPOILER) Yeah, I know. Since you liked the other two, maybe I'll upload a version of this version that can't be solved that way. I don't think my solution to this one is quite as interesting as the second two, especially if you've already solved those two, but I'll upload it anyway.

Memoryless Hole (v3) Thu 24 Feb 2005 02:22
<bpotetz> Thanks, Max!

Treehouse (v3) Thu 24 Feb 2005 00:30
<Max> Does this put a stop to your shenanigans, Brian?

Memory Hole (final!) Thu 24 Feb 2005 00:03
<Max> Well done, mjn! It may have taken you a while to iron out the kinks, but this final version is great. A hands-down "official" level, in my opinion. Even the cooks were enjoyable!

Construct-A-Maze Wed 23 Feb 2005 23:50
<Max> Wow, that seemed really really hard at first, but then it seemed really really easy. Cool concept.
