<Eric119> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 35 moves (old: 37).

Bigger headache Thu 01 Jun 2006 19:15
<mm> My head is sore.

I'm the only one to complain!

And your daleks, too Thu 01 Jun 2006 18:47
<mm> And of your mazes, too.

I'm sick of your stupid lasers Thu 01 Jun 2006 18:46
<mm> I'm sick of your stupid levels

Headache Thu 01 Jun 2006 18:04
<mm> This level is neigher a puzzle nor a maze, it's just boring.

Bigger headache Thu 01 Jun 2006 18:00
<mm> BTW: there are 31 levels uploaded by Kato
<mm> Doom, I totally agree with you. Some kind of a total purge at some point could clear the situation.

I never tought about the titles before, but you're right, Tom7, they're not ok.

I hope you'll handle this shitty situation in a very decent way! And I'm glad I'm not the one who'd have to take decisions. Good luck!
<Doom> Sorry, my respect meter is lowering all the time... At least I don't have to complete a level to give it full zeros if you plan to keep going the same way.

Would a purge at some point, removing all levels under 15 or something style-rating be a bad idea? It's pretty clear that any level that has at least a little thought put into it has way more than that.

Mazes are okay to some extent, but THIS is absolute crap. And not only because of the (still trivial) guessing.
<Tom 7> I don't mind easy levels being uploaded, though I would like them to be a bit more thoughtful. What worries me is the titles of the levels and the comments that come with them--I don't want anybody to be uploading levels whose purpose is to hurt, not entertain, others.
<mm> Tom7, you've uploaded your comment the same minute I did. I've read Dorothy's comment and she seems to like this kind of levels for her children. I'd (once more) propose to create a folder called "children's corner" - you could put all those levels in there and hopefully everyone'd be happy?! Or not.
<mm> I'll enjoy those mazes very much! (;
<Tom 7> It's easy for people who don't like your levels to not play them, or for me to block you from uploading if you flood the server.

I'm not asking you to go away or to stop making levels, though. I'm just asking you to put more care into the levels you make--a lot of them are very similar, and many seem to be designed to annoy other players. Why would you want to do that?
<Kato> 'Bigger headache' uploaded by Kato:
I'm never going away. I'm going to keep thinking of more and more levels that you think are bad. I'm working on about a hundred more mazes, so I know you will be happy

Dimensional Trap 17 Thu 01 Jun 2006 13:06
<mm> (SPOILER) I did it! KWM, thanks a lot for encouraging me to keep on going. This is the smallest and most evil level ever (;
<mm> (SPOILER) You're right, there are no "black holes", I've realized that as well, opening the level in "editor" helped me to see the destination of each panel. (Mac!) Creating a level to better understand these "mechanisms" seems to be a good way to help to understand them - I'll keep on trying, thank's a lot for all your hints!

A Maze ing 3 Thu 01 Jun 2006 01:55
<Dorothy> I just want to say that my 6-year old daughter likes these maze ones, and all the other really easy ones. So thank you Kato, for making them.

And I would like to say thank you to all the other level creators out there, I enjoy all of the different level types "hard" or "easy".

I wish I had half the imagination that some of you do! Maybe one of these days, I will sit down and create one, but in the meantime, I really do enjoy playing the game! Thanks Tom for creating the game and updating it on a regular basis!

Dimensional Trap 17 Wed 31 May 2006 22:45
<KWM> (SPOILER) There are no self-referential (black hole) panels, but approching from the wrong/right direction can make it look that way, sort of. Here's a hint: 1,11,15,17. You did number the buttons, right? I make Dimensional Rip-Off to help me understand the logic of these levels, it's much longer and more systematic.
<mm> (SPOILER) Sorry, I know what binary code means - but I don't understand how it could help to solve this level? There are panels that do not work in a stricly logic way - I guess. And that's just very confusing.

How's This, Crybaby? Wed 31 May 2006 19:40
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 129 moves (old: 131).
<Tom 7> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 131 moves (old: 169).
Is this just supposed to annoy people? Anyway it's trivially solved by looking at the alternate layer.
<Kato> 'How's This, Crybaby?' uploaded by Kato:
For those who don't like mazes. Whatever

Dimensional Trap 17 Wed 31 May 2006 19:18
<mm> (SPOILER) I have absolutely no idea what a binary code could be! All I know is that there are some "tricky" panels which behave like black holes - are these the excepions? I'll find out how far I can get with only 2 or 3 blocks. (There is that other level, Dimensional Rip-Off...)

Obstacle Course Wed 31 May 2006 14:46
<Eric119> (SPOILER) Added speedrun: 340 moves (old: 356).

A Tale of Two Broken Hearts Wed 31 May 2006 07:08
<mm> Just watched the speedrun, too, I'm impressed, it's very very clever!
