Are you both 11? =) I think I was making silly little games when I was that old, but those were different days. I am not sure what to recommend to you if you want to start making games today. I have some experience with Flash, which--although it has a completely terrible programming language--has a lot of nice graphics stuff that make it pretty convenient for playing around with game ideas. I've also played some very good games made with Multimedia Fusion, though I have never used it.

Also, Escape is an open source game, so if you learned C++ you could play around with it. It's pretty big, though, and who really wants to program in C++ these days?
