Added speedrun: 64 moves (old: 66).

Well, it's not a bug--sleeping exits can only be woken up by picking up the last heart framer on the level (in "normal world"). The sleeping exit has to be around to notice that the last one is gone, so if you make it appear after taking the last heart framer, you're out of luck.

This is a type of bug. When you push the grey block to the end of the four switches, it turns the exit into a sleeping one, which can only be opened by a (fairly) secret heart block (found by hitting the switch inbetween the blue and yellow blocks at the top right of the level). However, if you get the secret heart block BEFORE opening say, accidentally pushing the block too far and covering the fourth switch, the the exit turns into a sleeping exit and you can't get it back to normal. I think it was intended to make it _look_ like it is hopeless, but it actually is.

Cook: I only used one of the four switches at the bottom/middle of the level.(Not sure if this is a cook, but there was plenty more I could have done on the level.)

That makes sense. Thanks!

You probably solved it with a buggy version of Escape that didn't reset panels when stepping onto heart framers. The bogus solution is stored, but it won't show up as a check mark because it doesn't verify. When you solve a level, it should really replace any solution that doesn't verify--right now I think it will only replace it if the new solution is shorter. I'll fix it. |

I solved this level but the game doesn't register my solution and it still says 'the level must be first completed' when I try to check for solutions.

Cook: I went down, grabbed the grey block and exited from the left side, ignoring the entire right half of the puzzle. But maybe you're supposed to do that?

Cook: Uh... | ||||
2405 | Playground1 | Tom 7 (1) | Sat 07 May 2005 19:14 | SPOILER |
Added speedrun: 66 moves (old: 294). I deleted Brian's speedrun, since it takes advantage of a bug. I presume this was mjn's solution. |

Ooh! Still plenty of time to submit a level that exploits it. But I won't :( |

Damn, I guess I didn't release the bug-fixed version of heart framers yet? I better do that tomorrow, at which point I'll delete Brian's speedrun, which relies on it.
2364 | Playground1 | bpotetz (144) | Fri 06 May 2005 18:23 | SPOILER |
Added speedrun: 46 moves (old: 66).

Cook: The majority of the level is unnecessary.
2344 | Playground1 | mjn (118) | Wed 04 May 2005 04:40 | SPOILER |
Added speedrun: 66 moves (old: 72). Never mind, even better... |

2343 | Playground1 | mjn (118) | Wed 04 May 2005 04:28 | SPOILER |
Added speedrun: 72 moves (old: 294). This seems like a pretty good way to do it... |
