Another wickedly simple level from the mind of Tom 7.The only thing not in black and white is the little blue eyed boy...otherwise it'd be a escape level made in the early days of games circa 1900's. GIL Anthony

Kacper, you're on the right route. The riddle here is, how to press the last panel. THere aren't any superfluos tiles. At the first looks it even seems, there are too few. Answering the question, which pieces can press which buttons, solves it.

You'll see. Have fun and keep on keeping on!

I can only get to the point where the exit it blocked by the sphere. And I don't see a way to press that panel. What do I do?

Huh, now that I look at it again, I think I found the first one hard because it took me a while to notice you could do that with the middle two up/down blocks--i.e. because I thought it was *this* version.

Yeah, I love those levels where you get right near the end, and then it's like, "Okay, now go back and do that again, but this time without [something]..."

  Wow, well, thanks. ;)

I guess a lot of people cooked it without realizing. I am surprised that anyone who cooked the original found it difficult; maybe I am a bit too close to the level to see why I'm wrong, but the whole point of this is to "lead you down the garden path" by having a fairly obvious thing to do at each point, but then burn you at the very last step. But the cook allowed you to recover from that without thinking ahead much. Anyway, I'm much more satisfied with this new version, even if the charm of the level lies in something I don't really perceive. =)

Max, it's true.. this also totally ruins that level you made where you have to deduce the panel destinations, I forgot the name. But I want there to be as little hidden information as possible, so I think this is better (even if it wrecks some things that were previously nice). Oh well.

And yes, the cook was bypassing the puzzle on the left. That was really the whole point of the level in the first place, because the rest is pretty trivial.

1194 Black and White (v2) Max (61) Thu 31 Mar 2005 17:22 SPOILER
P.S. Did the cook involve being able to bypass the puzzle on the left? Because that's how I used to solve it... (No longer a problem, of course.)

1193 Black and White (v2) Max (61) Thu 31 Mar 2005 17:21 SPOILER
As stylish as ever! My one regret is that the new panel animation shows you which tiles they activate. I remember being thoroughly satisfied when I realized that those two panels activated "through" the wires. That was a really cool way of communicating what was going on before the animation existed. Of course I do agree that, on the whole, panel animation has been a good change...

I'm sad to lose all my old high rankings for this one, but mjn (and I think, rjmccall) totally cooked it. This should fix that.
