This is more of a proof of concept than a puzzle, of course, but I think this is a really elegant construction. Clever!

I would have used a regular panel instead of green floor for the fourth color, though.

I'm not sure if I've worked out all of the bugs in the system. I think this may have some interesting applications. Feel free to use it and modify it if you like.
